5 Easy Steps To Improve Your Life…And Proof They Work!

November proved to be a big month for me, and with New Year’s around the corner, this year is going out with my own personal fireworks!

Do you believe in the Law of Attraction?

I have always been somewhat of a skeptic when it comes to things, but it’s hard to not believe in something when you see the proof in front of you. I have been practicing what Rhonda Byrne calls The Secret on-and-off for about 4 years now. I remember doing the first exercise, which was to manifest a free coffee. I did this for a few weeks and thought it was crazy. Then one day, they made a mistake on my coffee and instead of replacing it, they just gave me another. Being a skeptic, I still wasn’t convinced; however, the very next day, when I pulled up to the drive thru window, I was told that the car in front of me had paid for my order. How nice – Wait! Did I just get free coffee two days in a row?

I had to go home and read more from Rhonda, maybe there really was more to this “Secret”. The next exercise was to manifest something bigger, like a new car. I sat down and wrote what I wanted in a car:

  • Chevy Malibu – blue
  • Around 2005
  • In good running condition and no body damage
  • Air conditioning, car starter and CD player

Just some basics; I wasn’t extremely detailed. I had been driving a ‘96 Intrepid with a fuel rail problem and anything was better than that. A month went by and I didn’t think much about the car until one day the Intrepid stalled out on the highway in -30°… I really needed a new car.

A friend referred me to the dodge dealership where I test drove a couple of used vehicles. I ended up settling on a Dodge Caliber, put down a deposit and was conditionally approved. I just had to wait for my 3 month probation period to be over with my employer which was a couple weeks away. During these weeks, even though I was buying the Caliber, I still pictured myself driving the Malibu. What was ironic was the day the conditions came off, a 2005 blue Chevy Malibu was released onto the lot. I drove the Malibu home the next day.

Not thinking too much about it at the time, I quickly realized that I was not specific enough. My new car was exactly as above, exactly! I had created my car, coincidence?
Sure, some people may think what I am saying is crazy talk, but this was my experience. Your mind is more powerful that you can even imagine. It’s all about being positive… being truly grateful for who you are, what you give and what you receive.

Need more proof?

Did you know since packing up my life and starting over 3 years ago, I have gotten every job I’ve been interviewed for? I do this by the power of belief. Confidence is powerful. The most recent experience is my best yet. I was unemployed over the summer and doing nothing but playing video games. I had sent out a few resumes each day, but I really wasn’t putting my head into it.

On Friday, September 13th, (13 is my lucky number) I  posted a Facebook status – today something is going to happen that will impact the rest of my life. I started on the job board, sent off about 10-15 resumes, but one job in particular stood out. I was directed to apply on their website…

If you think you have what it takes, are a celebrated web geek, and believe in your super powers helping our clients, then please fill in the form below to apply.”

I definitely fit that description. I applied, and within an hour, I had a response. The owner wanted to meet with me that same day. Of course I went, laughed, and chatted their ears off for about an hour then left, knowing I had the job. The offer was in my email before the end of the day. I am now almost 3 months in and this is the best job I have ever had!

Honestly, I could go on and on about how positive thinking and the Law of Attraction have improved my life, but you should just try it for yourself.

5 Easy Steps to a Better Life

1. Have precise and realistic goals.

Write them down, and don’t forget to be specific. A Harvard Business study revealed that only 3% of people have goals written down. These 3% are 3 times more successful than people with unwritten goals. You increase your probability of completion by 25% when you consciously decide on a goal, by 50% if you actually plan it out. If you can dream it, you can achieve it.

2. Be grateful for everything around you.

Do you take the time to notice the beauty around you? Do you realize each morning that you are given a brand new day? A new day to do something different, tell someone you love them, finish that project you were working on… whatever it is, just be thankful and love your life. You are the one who needs to live it.

3. Turn the negatives into positives.

Do you ever notice when you are having a rough morning and say, “This day can’t get any worse!”- it usually does? It is because you are focusing on the negative and drawing it toward you. What you dwell on, you will manifest. Try to see the light in a bad situation and, all of a sudden, the day looks brighter.

4. Forget about the past!

The past will haunt you forever if not buried properly. Everything seems to happen for a reason, even if it doesn’t make sense at the time. Life has a constant flow of learning opportunities. So what if somebody doesn’t like you; you can’t make everybody happy. So what if you fail; you have to keep moving forward. Your past experiences are learning tools to help you on your journey. Embrace the future and believe in yourself.

5. Love Yourself! Unconditionally!!

You have to spend every waking moment with yourself. Try looking at yourself in the mirror, actually tell yourself “I love you”, and if you want to go a step farther, tell yourself why. There is no one in this world quite like you, and for that, be grateful.

These 5 simple steps will help you build the life you desire. You deserve the best, why not receive it.
