At one of the most prominent cancer centers, the patients are asked "why did your body NEED the cancer?" Though it may not be conscious, sometimes a disease may be the body's way of escaping a difficult job; of getting rest or getting attention.
We need to try to manage our stress, our jobs, and our relationships; and get the love we need, in ways that do not leave us feeling HELPLESS and/or CORNERED. When we feel that way, we are at great risk for developing diseases, as the body tries to look for a way out.

[...] Sorry, Ladies; this is going to be short…no, I mean really short. I’m currently experiencing one of the worst migraines that I’ve had for awhile. I’ve just never missed a Wellness Wednesday, not willing to do it now. Also, I’m attempting to push through these moments when I’m tempted to give up and crawl into my hideyhole for the duration (See my post, Am I Attached To My Problems?).
It's so freeing to get honest with ourselves, isn't it? And not only that, but it's empowering to know that we are in control of our own lives.

Way to go Kellie. Something to be proud of, I must say.

It certainly is an interesting theory that should be explored. I talked to Wally about it today. He understood what I was saying, so it must not be such a crazy idea. I'm going to do some serious work in this area, as I believe it will only bring good to my life.

Yes, I am attached to my problems too. The headache, being tired, my allergies. I think the same way. Hummm, I have a headache today.....better take some Darvocet...My headache will feel better and so will I. I think for people like me that never fulfilled their dreams, I can relate that "problem" to the reason why I may not be productive that day or maybe not ever again.
