Today, I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported Women’s Life Link and made it such a fabulous community. I’m so fortunate to have met so many beautiful women since we launched nearly a year ago.
Be thankful for what you have: talents, possessions, people, love, and your influence are all blessings.

We have plenty of excuses for Tiger Woods’ sexual mis-steps: “Powerful men have a higher sex drive,” says one expert; “Men are just wired that way,” says another. “If women don’t want their men to stray, they need to turn up the passion in the bedroom.” And I say – Pleeeeze!
Perspective; oh, so important, yet so hard to achieve! We can become so ego-centric, as we get busy with life, to-do-lists, and so forth. I am someone who can put herself in other people’s shoes. Most of the time.
There are a number of myths out there floating around about guys and gals ~ usually perpetuated by members of the opposite sex. Some have a bit of rooting in fact, while others don’t. Here, I debunk a few myths about males.
“Are you like your mother?”was bold and loud in my mind as I opened my eyes. For some of you that inquiry might provoke some angry feelings or at least a nonchalant eye roll. A few of you might be beaming with pride to know that, yes, you are just like your mother. But, for most, you are like me, knowing that you have carried on some of mom’s negative traits as well as some good ones.
If your household runs anything like mine, then every time you turn around someone (I won’t name names, but HE is a man, maybe the father of your offspring) sabotages your efforts to promote a healthful lifestyle. It’s one thing if they want to pollute their own bodies with the likes of Doritos, Bugles, and soda, but back away from the kids; and keep that tempting snack parade out of our sight!
Since I started this blog back in March, I have learned how quickly that you can go from being scared of the Word Press Dashboard to whizzing around it like a Cirque Du Soliel aerialist. Another thing that magically happens is making new web friends – the topic of this Fortunate Friday (a new column for Fridays that talks about the fortunes of blogging).
