When we look into the eyes of another surely we are looking at the soul of the one standing directly in front of us – or are we?  It is difficult for many to get past the physical to gaze any further.  We have become a visual society, judging according to our cultural beliefs.  We perceive the outside to be an extension of the inside, whether it is health or beauty.   Most of us are struggling with projecting our inner being and cannot comprehend where the reflection in the mirror has come from, for we perceive ourselves to be much different.  Those that approach us for the first time look directly to the face, more so to the skin, and then to the eyes, but seldom through them.  And so, the skin, and the physical becomes the measuring scale on which we judge to be the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

With advancement of medical sciences today we can once again recapture and reflect our radiant inner beauty.  Dr. Gregory Chernoff is a Triple Board Certified Aesthetic Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon that has skillfully perfected the transformation that is being sought after by men and women of all ages.  Not only is he skillful as a surgeon, but artistic in creating a youthful look that is natural and very becoming.  It takes a very special and loving person to be able to sit in front of you – look through you – and see your hidden beauty and then have the skills to unveil what is already there.  Dr. Chernoff is such a tender and compassionate man and truly concerned with ones wellbeing.  How truly rare is it to see such loving energy come from someone that has the ability to mirror it back.  There are many surgeons – many artists – many that are compassionate – but rarely does one possess it all.  Dr. Chernoff is an exception, and Julie Leonetti (his nurse of 18 years) is of the same mold.  They complement each other and create an unsurpassed team.  It’s not surprising that the office staff is of this caliber also.  If you are contemplating a transformation – Dr. Chernoff and his staff are experts in guiding you along this path.  With reassurance you are able to transform and unveil your hidden beauty.

  1. Or, instead of pouring money into expensive, dangerous surgeries and doing things to our bodies that were never meant to be done, we might try learning what it is to GROW GRACEFULLY into being AGED. No one was ever meant to be “youthful” forever; no one can successfully turn the hands back on the clock.

I would prefer to see grown women who rejoice in who and what they are, without surgeries or injections, and without jealously trying to hang on to being a child-woman.

We earn our wrinkles. Our wisdom is as much in our physical bodies as it is in our minds.

    Embrace it.

    • Grey,

I agree with you 100% with the need to be at peace with our age and the signs of it. Dr. Hawkins was simply giving her opinion of this particular plastic surgeon’s character. She did not get plastic surgery and did not write this post to encourage women to do so either. You know our message here at Women’s Life Link is everything you just said in your comment. There is even a 5 part series on non-surgery face lifts here on the site. I was just open to her posting about the superior service and character of a business that serves women. We have to be careful about judging others for their choices. If a woman gets plastic surgery it doesn’t mean she is jealous or insensitive to the cycles of life. She, like us all, has her life and body in her hands and can choose whatever she wants to do with it. Some women have extreme low self-esteem that has much to do with their appearance. If they can find peace and joy by enhancing their looks and can afford it, then that seems a fair option to consider. There is nothing wrong with taking care of yourself and doing what you can to age gracefully. I’ve always taken care of my skin and am certainly glad I did. The money I’ve spent over the years was worth it to me to look my best at 46. I understand that we will age no matter what, but we don’t have to lay down and let it happen faster than it needs to.

Thanks for your wise comments and encouragement to be at peace with your “physical wisdom”. 🙂

  2. I have often wondered what personas cosmetic surgeons had. My only experience with one was when my daughter had to get a cyst removed from her face. That experience was awful. It’s great to know that there is quality care and kindness in the field. If I ever decide to do anything in the plastic surgery area, I will certainly consider Dr. Chernoff. Your opinion is highly respected and we appreciate it so much.
