Is Your Time Managing You?

The Daily 300

Welcome back to our discussion about time management.  The question at hand is a rather important one to ask yourself if you want to get to the next level in any area of your life.  You can either do what you have to do to keep your time in check or you can let it walk mercilessly all over you.  And you wonder why you always feel exhausted and brain-dead…

Please trust that I am no stranger to the trampling feet of the twenty – four – hours – gone – terribly – wrong syndrome.  In fact, I’m somewhat taking a beating right now as I’ve added some challenging projects to my schedule.  I haven’t quite nailed down the best way in which to handle all of my responsibilities.  The important thing is that I’m working toward it by practicing what I preach.

Why You Lose Control of Your Calendar

When things get horrifically busy for mom, you know it’s gonna be bad for everyone.  So we kind of have to deal with the core of the problem which could be a number of things.  Here’s just a few culprits that get the best of mommies everywhere:

•  Inability to say no – It’s nice to give of your time but you need boundaries for your own sake and that of your family’s.

•  Inability to delegate tasks or ask for help – Even Super woman has her limitations.

•  Pride, Status, and Money –  Oooh…she did not just go there!  Yes, I did!

•  You thrive on chaos and don’t want to change – It’s messy but someone has to do it, right?

Whether you have any or all of these issues needling you or something different altogether, it still boils down to YOU and YOUR willingness to make some changes.  Let us know how you do.  And that about says it for now.  Be well-be beautiful.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone

  1. so true. 🙂 I am full of joyful chaos. 2 dogs. 4 cats. a lot of kitty litter and more of sweeping the floors. I started a checklist this evening. just for tonight. 16 items on the list for today. 3 items I have been able to cross off. But it is a start.
