Under The Leaves

A few days ago, while raking leaves, my cat loved attacking the rake. I laughed at the amount of joy that Mageara gained from this menial task I needed to finish. I enjoyed the task more because she did. Just as I began to pull in another pile of leaves and the cat jumped at the rake, I took delight in something else! I uncovered little white daisies. They were in full bloom, smiling up at me as if they had the secret to life. I laughed out loud at such a weird find in late fall. And then, of course, I took a picture! Several thoughts came to mind, which I want to share with you.

seldom

"What you seldom do , if done often, would change your life." This statement came to me this morning after a visualization session. Simple. Yes. And that is precisely why I am so thankful for it. It is also why I wanted to share it with you. So often we make things WAY too complicated by making lists, getting more education, making resolutions -trying to literally reinvent the wheel. I'm exhausted just thinking about how many things we can cram into our day in order to make life better. Well, I'm relieved by the simple fact change is as simple as that silly quote up there.

Everyday a Holiday!

Delight in each day! There is something that is going to happen today that should be celebrated. You woke up. Maybe you were able to witness the sunrise? Even if you did not see it, it happened and it was a magnificent painting of wonderment. Even if nothing out of the ordinary happens all day long there is going to be thousands of stars shining brightly down on you tonight asking you in a twinkle, "What will you do tomorrow?" "Which star will you wish on tonight"? "What will you be celebrating tomorrow?"

The Power Of Laughter

I sat on the couch the other night, beside me was the constant pile of books to indulge in, but I didn’t think I was in the mood for reading. The TV was on, though nothing much was on it, and I had my staple cup of green tea. Deciding to have a squiz at one of the books anyway, I flicked a few pages, came across something I thought to be interesting and off I went.

Wait For It

If you are like me, you tend to be anxious to get the end results of anything you do. Though there is nothing wrong with wanting to finish stuff, it can cause you to pull the proverbial trigger a little early sometimes. And when you're dealing with important decisions and the development of your dreams, it might serve in a greater way to wait for things to enter your life naturally, especially if you know you have intuitive gifts.

Vision, Mentorship, And Teamwork

I've been thinking about how humbled I am by the fact that I am surrounded by such amazing women on the new author panel. These women have many other things they could do with their precious time but have chosen to give me and this magazine a slice of that time. It's an honor...really.

Ribbon Wishes

I have this screen saver on my computer that displays various color ribbons flying about. The first time it appeared I was ecstatic! You see, for years I've visualized very similar colorful ribbons whenever I prayed, meditated, or visualized something I wanted to manifest into my life. The ribbons represent to me all of my emotions, compassion, healing, wishes, and dreams going out into the universe to gather and execute all that needs to happen to make my desires come to pass.

The Blame Game

Did you ever wonder why bad things happen to good people? And, do you always blame either God or the devil for those misfortunes? How about considering the alternative? Maybe we create our own drama and unserving dilemmas. I mean, come on, to blame the devil for breaking my toe, when I was foolishly walking through a dark room in the middle of the night to sneak some chocolate cake. Really?

Women’s Life Change

I've been thinking a lot lately about how a woman really changes throughout her life. I watch my youngest flit around the house in her 2.5 year-old body, full of laughter and energy I only dream of in my more mature state. Then there are my teens. They are full of hope and dreams of their future, waiting for those big events to wash over them and not realizing that they pass too quickly. They don't yet grasp the fact that they are creating their futures with every thought and action of which they presently partake.

Life Change: One Tip You Need to Hear

As a part of my "Beautiful Woman" interviews I always ask "do you have any regrets?". I believe for most women it's easy to see the "errors of our ways" when it comes to the progression of our lives. However, having regrets means that you would likely change something if you could. I was thinking about how destructive that attitude can be to our life journey. Bottom line: if we changed one thing, we would change everything - even the blessings.
