"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone

Elements of Relaxation

Water, Air, Fire, and Earth - everything we are, everything we touch, and everything we need is made up of at least one of these 4 elements. It's no wonder that we feel safe, warm, and relaxed while in their presence.

Tea: A Healthy Indulgence

Do you find yourself needing an afternoon pick-me-up most days? Do you avoid coffee because the caffeine would keep you awake at night, or say no to soda because you’re trying to cut back? How about brewing a cup of tea?

Memory Loss: Is It Normal?

Setting aside the wrinkles, the drooping boobs, and the inability to see anything closer to my face than two feet, the worst thing about aging is the sudden short term memory lapses that seem to come at the most inopportune times (ie. missplacing your keys when you're already late; your phone number has vacated your brain when you have to leave a message on someone's voicemail; your child's name escapes you).

Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Health and Beauty Benefits

With about a thousand different views (or more) on the way in which the six types of fats (good or bad) affect our bodies, most women don't truly understand how to balance their diets. Though it is important to know what each of the fats do and where they come from, I am going to focus primarily on Essential Fatty Acids for this post.

Healthy Fashion

Although the terms "health" and "fashion" may not be commonly used together right now, I believe we will soon see a deluge of "organic/healthy" clothing and accessories that takes us to a new era of living healthy and looking great while doing it. Since I'd like to see every woman consider the "Be Well-Be Beautiful" concept as a lifestyle, I thought we could take a look at some of the products that are currently offered in the market.

Age, Beauty, and Health

I am reminded every day of my age by looking in the mirror, remembering my oldest daughter's is 24, and by the wisdom (and trivia) that I have acquired over the years. I'm not going to write about mid-life crises or anything like that. On the contrary, I believe that neither your state of health nor your beauty should have one iota to do with the number of years you've been on the planet; unless, of course, they are better because you have made a few more mistakes and learned from them.

Pain In the Neck

Most women, at some time in their lives, experience neck pain. Though there are many causes for the pain that can sometimes be debilitating, the most common ongoing culprits are poor posture and positioning of the head while doing tasks like computer work and reading. Trust me; I know. I have suffered from chronic neck problems since my early adulthood.

Sun Damage Awareness

I know that I have done at least one post about the importance of protecting your skin from the sun's damaging UV rays; however, I can't resist doing another as I keep witnessing those around me get horrible burnt - one person in particular - my son. Though his fried shoulders were a result of a complete misunderstanding between the two of us; I still felt like the world's worst mother for not making sure he was covered.

The Importance of Good Posture

I was thinking about how many women don't reach their body's beauty potential because of poor posture. I have been guilty of this horrible laziness for most of my life. However, I do check myself when I feel that the old habits have returned. Unfortunately, I also see my daughters falling prey to the same chronic slouching. I'm always telling them to stand up straight - I just get rolling eyes and an "oh, Mom." But, did I listen to my mother when she harped at me over the same thing? NO. So, here I am today with problems...just ask my chiropractor.

Deep Breathing: A Beautiful Thing

Deep Breathing is one of those things that makes you think of meditation, yoga, and, in my case, childbirth. You really have to consider why we do it when 1.) we need to relax; 2.) we need to perform physically; and 3.) we need to clear our minds. Hmmm...maybe there is something to this ancient ritual that has been practiced by nearly every culture on the planet.

What Is Cellulite?

What exactly is cellulite, anyway? Great question considering most women don't know the answer. Well, it's not some new form of tissue, a special kind of fat that attacks your legs and butt, and it is not going to go away with some drugstore creme. Cellulite is, in fact, simply excess body fat. And because women happen to store more fat than men do, it is no surprise that we end up with warehouses of the stuff on our thighs.
