Staying Fit With Limited Mobility

Recently, a client of mine sprained her ankle and was told that she had pretty serious damage from the sprain and from earlier injuries to the same area. Her doctor put her on crutches for a month and told her the only way she could go to work was if her boss would let her do everything seated with her foot up.

90 Day Health Challege: Week 7

The weeks are really flying by here! Overall, I feel good about my progress with my self-induced program- a personal trainer would be nice, though. I think I'd be more inclined to go further with my fitness level; lunges are just no fun unless someone is standing over you barking, "One more, you can do one more, you lazy cow!

90 Day Health Challenge: Week 6

Oh, crap...this thing is halfway over! And, I wish I could say that I'd reached all of my mid-point goals - not so much, but I haven't given up. At least the challenge has prodded me to move closer to them. I did have a small epiphany this week though. While at my chiropractor's office, I had to use the restroom and noticed a framed quote on a table across from the toilet.

90 Day Health Challenge: Week 5

In the overall picture of my health challenge, this week wasn't so bad; in terms of the short seven day period, it sucked. The cold at least kept me popping my extra vitamin C, D, B, and drinking a deluge of liquids. I was reminded of how dry my throat was about every 15 minutes during the night from the inability to breathe through my nose.

How Healthy Am I…Really?

This week has been one of self-evaluation for me. I attended two health/anti-aging seminars that absolutely shattered my delusional mind-set that I was actually healthy. It's like the denial that comes when you know that you've gained weight but think if you don't get on the scale it won't be true. Well, I was doing that with my state of health.
