Wow! Life has sure changed in the last year since I’ve blogged. Let’s see, I moved from Virginia Beach to San Antonio, separated from the United States Navy and became a civilian for the first time in ten years, started working towards my Bachelor‘s Degree in Fashion Management and Marketing, and hmmm… oh yeah, I made another human being! Her name is Aysen, and I couldn’t be more excited about her coming into my life.

Continuing on with our quest to Crack the Body Enigma... Today we are discovering the Irresistible Inverted Triangle! You, my dear lady, are blessed, truly. My favorite IIT would have to be be Jessica Simpson. And I’ll tell you why: This woman is a talented designer and businesswoman, gorgeous, and hilarious to boot. But I have seen some of the terrible things said about her and her struggle with weight, especially before and after the birth of her daughter, Maxwell.

Out of all the body types out there, the Ravishing Rectangle posed the biggest challenge for me as a Blogger... and not because it’s tough to define, but because you have so many choices! Ravishing Rectangles are seen all over the runways these days... their tall lean bodies make one of the best choices for showing off the latest fashions! Besides for just about every runway model out there, some other famous RRs include Cameron Diaz, Natalie Portman, Gwen Stefani, Hilary Duff, and Nicole Kidman. You see them on the red carpet in some of the most beautiful pieces, and they always look feminine. This is the biggest challenge for RRs... creating curves!

So ladies, as promised... we are going to spend the next few weeks talking about the different body types. Before you start thinking about the fruit on your kitchen table (you know... apple, pear...) I’ll let you know right now.... we don’t refer to ourselves as fruit (Rule numero uno), we are WOMEN. Beautiful, confident, unique women. The great thing about all of the different body types..... there are wonderful perks to each and every one of them! Today, we are going to talk about The Hourglass.

Clothing is actually the most underutilized tool at our daily disposal (IMO of course!).... So often do we just go to the store, find our “size”, throw it in the cart, and hope that it “fits”. Will it meet the bare necessities? Most likely, yes. Will it be comfortable? Maybe. Will it flatter you? Well.... probably not, unless you get really lucky (refer to my first post, Rule No. 4... Try EVERYTHING on). What a lot of women don’t realize is....

Hi everyone, I couldn't resist introducing you to my beautiful daughter, Kayla, who is the first woman featured in the following video that aired on our local news as well as in the above photo.

Recently, I told you gals about my style changes that included a funky short, blonde hairdo and a return to my edgier side. I am finding that just the hair change alone is giving me a spark for life that I haven't felt for a long time. It's amazing to me how much different you can feel when you have the right appearance on the outside.
