3 Simple Ways To Win At Wellness

Health and wellbeing is something we all need to pay attention to. This means everything from taking the correct supplements to living an active lifestyle. There are many ways that you can positively contribute to your overall health, such as approaching sickness holistically and seeking out medical treatments that work for you. Today, we will focus on 3 simple ways to win at wellness!

Win At Wellness #1: Find the Right Medicine

One thing that is common among chronic illness and pain patients is that finding the right medicine can be challenging. Prescribed medicines can also become ineffective after a period of time. When I had chronic migraine for years, it took trial and error and a lot of patience to finally figure out what my body needed and what it did not. I used many pharmaceuticals, as well as those from a compounding pharmacy. I also figured out that food is the best medicine for the human body. Finding the right combo of these is how I overcame a long-term illness.

Understand, however, that changing your medication is not a decision to take lightly. It should only be done under the consultation of a qualified physician. Be aware of any side effects that might occur when you stop or start new medicines. Trying something new should always be viewed as a positive step, so remain open-minded and you might find what works for you.

Win At Wellness #2: Go Natural

Trying out natural or alternative health methods is always an option. That said, natural treatments, like mainstream drugs, can be quite complex and need to be researched thoroughly beforehand.  Some natural pain relief products are highly effective for certain types of illnesses and pain. Again, make sure that you check with your physician before you try new supplements, especially if you currently take pharmaceuticals.

One simple way to help your body naturally is to boost your immune and other systems with quality supplements. I read reviews and also get recommendations from my doctor before I invest in anything. This is primarily due to the fact that all supplements are not created equal and can be expensive.

Win At Wellness #3: Sleep Well

Sleep deprivation is one of those things that can be overlooked as a culprit behind illness and poor energy. It’s too bad really because getting quality sleep is a pillar of good health. If you are not resting, your body cannot renew itself efficiently. If you wake up feeling as though you haven’t slept, this is a clue that something is amiss. Keep in mind, there could be a reason you are not sleeping well.

Illnesses like sleep apnea, anxiety, restless leg syndrome, and depression can all make quality sleep nearly impossible. For mild sleep problems, try creating a calm atmosphere in your bedroom so that you enjoy going to bed each evening. Read a book, drink some chamomile tea, and switch off any electrical devices at least an hour before bed. If sleep issues plague you frequently, it may also be time to seek some professional advice.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
