4 Secrets For Excellent Health

With all the responsibilities of adult life, taking care of your health can sometimes get ignored. I get it. It takes due diligence to keep body, mind, and spirit in check. And that’s just to keep things pretty average. Pushing past into excellent health will take some focus and perseverance. Here are some of my favorite secrets for excellent health.

Secrets for Excellent Health #1: Eat A High-Quality Diet

I believe that to achieve excellent health, you must be consistent with a high-quality diet. No, it doesn’t have to be perfect all the time. In fact, treating yourself once in a while will help to keep you on track. Also, one way to prevent illness from invading your system is to incorporate disease-fighting foods in your daily diet. For example, eating fruit such as cranberries and blueberries, which are full of antioxidants, help to neutralize cell-damaging molecules known as free radicals which can cause disease.

Secrets for Excellent Health #2: Pay Attention to Symptoms

One of the best things you can do for your health is to know your body well. Pay attention to any changes in how you feel, look, and react to stress. Symptoms are there to tell you something is wrong. Ignoring even signs of a cold can end up biting you in the rear end. It’s good to know what to do when you first spot cold symptoms or signs of other illness.

The first thing is to try and determine whether your symptoms are simple and non-threatening or something more serious. If you aren’t sure, you may want to visit your healthcare provider. Though many viruses and common illnesses don’t have cures, there are some medicines that help with symptoms. Should you have anything serious arise, like chest pain, changes in appetite, or pain, do always see your doctor. Don’t let things go until they get worse.

Secrets for Excellent Health #3: Know Your Health Rights

When ill, you may decide to go to the doctor to get some better medication and a proper diagnosis, which is often the best course of action. While it may be something you don’t give much thought to, the truth is that doctors and nurses can get things wrong. For this reason, it’s important to do your own research and also know your health rights. If you do happen to get a misdiagnosis or poor treatment, you do have a right to complain or even collect a settlement. In these circumstances, it is important you contact Medical Negligence Experts who can help you take legal action so that you are compensated for any of the negative effects of someone else’s mistake.

Secrets for Excellent Health #4: Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate

A final thing to keep in mind is hydration. Drinking water every day is a simple but incredibly effective way of reaching excellent health. It helps energy levels stay high, flushes out toxins from the skin and other organs, and it helps you to fight off illness more effectively. Truthfully, drinking enough water is the largest pillar of staying youthful and healthy. Without it, most of your other efforts will not be as effective. I try to go by the following rule: drink at least half of your body weight in ounces daily. And, if you drink coffee or alcohol, drink an extra 8 ounces per drink.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
