90 Day Health Challenge: Week 3

A Better Overall Balance

Hi everyone!  Well, here I am 3 weeks into this health challenge and not entirely sure where I stand, but it’s early yet.  Let me attempt to share the good and bad highlights from my week.

Water Intake – I found myself thirsty a lot this week – a sign that I wasn’t hydrating enough.  However, as soon as I noticed it, I started drinking more.  Yay me!

Food/Nutrition– For some reason I really wanted sweets this week.  One thing I did to satisfy my craving was add a packet of Splenda to my morning fresh fruit and oatmeal.  It helped so much to have just a hint of sweetness in the morning.  I did OK for the most part with making better choices; something that I consider a victory.  Oh, and I drank a cup of Green Tea every day!

Fitness – I’m so happy with this aspect of my challenge.  I said that I would get some cardio this week, and I did.  With the encouragement of Missy Moo (the toddler girl), I was able to get a couple of brisk walks in as well as my ballet for fitness, and some muscle toning exercises.  So, I get a gold star for fitness!

Physical Limitations – Unfortunately, the last part of the week was not good in the moving department as the neck pain I had last week returned with a vengeance.  I was able to get to the chiropractor, Dr. Heidi Kline, who specializes in a gentle, effective technique to which my body responded extremely well (we’ll talk more about that later).

Other – I also received some samples of a detox product that is supposed to take toxins out of your body via the soles of your feet.  I will be using these nightly for the next couple of weeks and will let you know how they affect me.

Next Week’s Goals

1.  Get back on Livestrong.com.

2.  Walk 3 times.  And I would love to dig out my Tai Chi DVD…and use it.

3.  Remember to use the expensive juicer that does me no good while hibernating in the cabinet.

4.  Make sure to listen to my new chiropractor/wellness expert; she is going to help me get to the bottom of the headaches as well as treat the neck problems which might be related.

5.  Laugh more!

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
