Do you know what it feels like to be free - when everything seems to open up for you and you're on top of the world (a sense of self-flight)?

The Cost to Fly with Baggage

Power300

I’ve never heard (or read) as much controversy and ridicule as I did when the airlines decided to charge to check baggage.  I also realized that this was going to force passengers to re-think what they really needed for any given trip.  No more “just in case I need it” packing.  Now, if you hang around here at all, you know I’m not going to go on about the aviation industry and their desperate attempt to make a buck.  I’m only using them as an example for a little life lesson (in 300 words or less, of course.

Money.  You know that green stuff that we go bonkers over when someone tries to take more than they should…like the airlines.  After all, we paid for the ticket and should be able to take whatever we want on our trips whether we need it or not.  Right?  Well, maybe for flying on a plane, but definitely not for the kind of flying I’m talking about.

Do you know what it feels like to be free – when everything seems to open up for you and you’re on top of the world (a sense of self-flight)?  That’s what I’m talking about.  Guess what?  If you do know that wonderful place, it’s because you dumped your baggage before you started climbing – your emotional baggage, that is.

Hanging onto unnecessary emotions and pain from the past (packing more than you need) is not an option if you want to move freely to the next destination in your life journey.  Why?  Because I said so…no, seriously, it’s much too costly.  Only it isn’t that green stuff leaving; it’s a nice piece of yourself being offered to the kick-me-when-I’m-down god.  We’ve all done it, but it’s time to stop paying for your baggage.

Just let it go. Be well-be beautiful.

I believe that every woman has passions and dreams, waiting to be unlocked. With encouragement and support, they could grow into something tangible no matter how out there they seem to be. For me, one of those heart-fluttering passions has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, cultivate my dream of being a writer, I've written and/or edited 15+ years worth of articles here or on other blogs, published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and am working on a poetry anthology and another women's inner journey book. I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do it through the written word or other vibrant means. Kellie R. Stone
