Beauty Treatments That May Boost Your Confidence

Women all over the world want to feel and look beautiful. And, we actively participate in beauty routines, purchasing the latest products, and researching specific treatments. There are many things we can do to improve our outward appearance. Some of these things can help to activate a healthier self-image, especially if you have specific areas you can enhance or improve. Today, I want to focus on a few treatments that may boost your confidence.

Eyebrow Treatments

Eyebrow looks go through trends just like fashion does. Back in the 20s, pencil-thin brows were in. Now, fuller and thicker brows are definitely more common. I believe that having well-shaped, defined brows is a wonderful way to achieve a more put-together, confident look. However, you may not be able to achieve the look you want without getting some help from a pro.

There are a host of eyebrow treatments to enhance what you have. I love getting henna eyebrow treatments from my esthetician to help fill in and define the shape. This lasts a lot longer than simply coloring your brows and is not costly.

Another popular eyebrow shaping treatment is threading. This is great for those with sensitive skin who want to stay away from waxing and plucking. This practice originated in Asia and the Middle East and involves the use of a string to pull out hairs from the root.  The string brushes softly against your skin and then pulls out even the thinnest and lightest of hairs. This gives a longer-lasting neat appearance to brows.

If you have sparse brows and want a fuller look, consider an alternative treatment called microblading. This helps you to achieve a bolder, fuller and more defined brow. It is a little uncomfortable, however, as it’s a semi-permanent form of eyebrow tattoo artistry.

Eyelash Treatments

Women tend to want full, long lashes because they do help us to look younger and feel more beautiful. Of course, you can get enhance what you have by using mascara or false lashes. However, some women can’t wear mascara or add ons because of ingredient sensitivity.

Two alternatives to help give you some extra confidence are lash tinting and lash lifting. Both of these are done by a licensed professional usually every 6 to 8 weeks. Keep in mind, the process can be a little uncomfortable for those with sensitive eyes. However, I think it’s worth it to alleviate the need for daily mascara and to be more confident first thing in the morning.

Cosmetic/Plastic Surgery Treatments

Though I’m not going to endorse any certain type of cosmetic treatment or surgery, we’re talking about building beauty confidence here. Though some women who would never do any invasive treatments for the sake of appearance, there are those who would do anything to feel better about themselves. It is a personal decision that could arise from situations like accidents, deformities, and even bullying. These types of treatments are also used by women and men who simply want to enhance what they already have.

Some common treatments are botox, facelifts, body contouring, and breast lift, augmentation or reduction. Obviously, some of these are full-blown surgeries and are considered luxe services unless there are medical reasons for them. That said, all invasive procedures, whether surgical or chemical, come with risks and potential side-effects. Your doctor and/or treatment professional can give you details about various procedures and the risks. It’s important to weigh any dangers against the benefits carefully before moving forward.

Remember, anything you do to enhance your beauty is a personal choice. We all have things that bother us about our appearance, so changing these things can be a viable option to help with self-esteem or confidence issues. Please do know that, no matter what, you are beautiful being YOU!
