7 Top Habits of Emotionally Balanced Women

Women are complex creatures. We all feel a huge range of different emotions, and, when we do, we each react in different ways. We are all unique, and it’s our ability to separate our emotions and keep them balanced that stops them from spiraling out of control. If you are particularly sensitive, you could be quite afraid of feeling strong emotions as your reactions may not be quite as controlled as others. That said, balancing your life and emotions is also a skill you can learn at any age. In fact, there are some habits of emotionally balanced women that each of us can adopt at any time.

Most of the art of emotional balance is first understanding what creates an imbalance. Once that is achieved, you can plan your steps accordingly. Finding your inner calm and paying attention to what triggers you is essential to change.

Habits of Emotionally Balanced Women #1: They Respond Instead of React to Situations

Our reactions often come directly from our emotions and not from our thoughts. They are usually in the moment, without thought, and driven by the ego. By pausing and thinking through a situation before you do anything, you teach yourself to respond to a problem rather than reacting unfavorably to it. Responding gives you a feeling of balance and integrity.

Habits of Emotionally Balanced Women #2: They Are Present

When you deal with a stressful situation, realizing your “here and now” emotions is an important part of staying emotionally fit. Emotionally balanced women do what they can to stay present in the moment as things happen. Though this isn’t always easy, it is liberating and can make you feel empowered.

Habits of Emotionally Balanced Women #3: They Love Themselves

Looking inward and practicing self-love is a fantastic way to balance emotions. I recommend making a list of all the things that you love about you. Include things that aren’t perfect as well as the things that you consider your best attributes. Learn to feel those things and boost your self-confidence by doing so. Emotionally balanced women have compassion for who they are right now. They don’t wait to be perfect before they love themselves.

Top Habits of Emotionally Balanced Women #4: They Stay Physically Active

During inactivity, emotions can get stagnant and hide from release. Keeping your body moving and burning through emotional adrenaline is good for your psychological state and your physical body. Make movement a part of your daily ritual to see an improvement in your attitude about yourself and the world. It helps to choose activities that you love and are passionate about. It also helps to stay fit with others, as this creates a bond and an additional emotional outlet.

Top Habits of Emotionally Balanced Women #5: They Are Grateful

Gratitude is a requirement and not just a bonus for the emotionally balanced. They practice gratitude for the people, things, and experiences in their lives. It helps to speak your gratitude daily with affirmations or in another creative form.

The trick is to also be thankful for the things that don’t seem good or fitting for your life. I try to remember that I don’t always understand the big picture, so I can’t possibly know the “good and bad” of anything. It’s best to just walk through each experience with an open mind and heart. Check those adverse reactions at the door!

Top Habits of Emotionally Balanced Women #6: They Practice Spiritual Growth

The emotionally balanced woman practices spiritual growth on a regular basis. She is mindful of her place in the world and wants to understand the vastness and power of all that is. She may even seek spiritual guides and tools like the 222 angel number. Many women gain insight from reading books, attending seminars, or working with spiritual practitioners. Keep in mind, spirituality is personal and should never be judged or used to control others.

Balancing your emotions in a time of turmoil isn’t always easy, but it can be done. Pay attention to who you are on the inside first. Care for your emotional wellness and your mind and soul will care for you.

Top Habits of Emotionally Balanced Women #7: They Actively Reduce Their Stress Levels

Stress is a useful state of mind if you’re facing a genuinely threatening situation. The problem is that many of us experience stress unnecessarily on a day to day basis. This can have negative repercussions on both mental and physical health. It’s important to actively reduce stress in various areas of life. Exercise to reduce cortisol (a stress hormone) production. Promote relaxation time and activate calm feelings by utilizing supplements and herbs your doctor approves. My favorites are valerian, passionflower, and lemon balm tea, as well as CBD. Take a look at High Times opinion on CBD for options. Simple steps can make all the difference.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone
