Am I A Perfectionist?

Wow, we’ve made it to day 22 of the New You in 31 Days Challenge! Personally, I haven’t been perfect in achieving my goals, but I wasn’t going for perfect…just improved. I hope you feel the same way about your new endeavors. Trying to be perfect doesn’t really help you to change, it merely encourages self-criticism and the feelings of failure when you don’t hit 100%. Like that beautiful flower in the feature photo, you can not achieve any greater perfection than you already posses at this moment.

I mean, really…have you ever looked at a lovely spring blossom and thought, “Gee, I wish that flower was prettier or more perfect.” I didn’t think so…how about we don’t do that when we look at ourselves or the things we’ve accomplished or haven’t accomplished. Today is a great day to talk about perfectionism and how it can actually harm you while on a self-improvement journey. I’ve compiled the best articles from the archives on the topic. Please let us know how you are doing with your most recent goals and dreams. Commenting on the posts you love is a wonderful way to be heard and to even make new connections with others.

About Kellie R. Stone

I believe that every woman has passions and dreams, waiting to be unlocked. With encouragement and support, they could grow into something tangible no matter how out there they seem to be. For me, one of those heart-fluttering passions has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, cultivate my dream of being a writer, I've written and/or edited 15+ years worth of articles here or on other blogs, published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and am working on a poetry anthology and another women's inner journey book. I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do it through the written word or other vibrant means. Kellie R. Stone
