Inspiration From the Doctor

Doc Talk

I found the following quotes worthy of our time today.  When seeking true health, remember to keep your mind open, your heart hopeful, and your doctor on his or her toes.  Enjoy the thoughts I’ve complied from some interesting people.  Be well-be beautiful.

“The art of healing comes from nature, not from the physician. Therefore the physician must start from nature, with an open mind.” Philipus Aureolus Paracelsus

“A careful physician, before he attempts to administer a remedy to his patient, must investigate not only the malady of the man he wishes to cure, but also his habits when in health, and his physical constitution.” Marcus Tullius Cicero

“We’re missing something.” Dr. Gregory House

“Trust your hunches…. Hunches are usually based on facts filed away just below the conscious level.” Dr. Joyce Brothers

“Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” Dr. Seuss[/box]
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere.” Dr. Carl Sagan

“In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.” Deepak Chopra

“The art of medicine is in amusing a patient while nature affects the cure.” Voltaire

“A merry heart does good like medicine.” Proverbs 17:22

“The miserable have no other medicine but only hope.” William Shakespeare

About Kellie R. Stone

I believe that every woman has passions and dreams, waiting to be unlocked. With encouragement and support, they could grow into something tangible no matter how out there they seem to be. For me, one of those heart-fluttering passions has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, cultivate my dream of being a writer, I've written and/or edited 15+ years worth of articles here or on other blogs, published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and am working on a poetry anthology and another women's inner journey book. I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do it through the written word or other vibrant means. Kellie R. Stone

  1. I often feel like Dr. House…But Dr. Seuss has always been my favorite!

  2. I love that you included a quote by Dr. Seuss. He was truly a genius. We read his books over and over and over again in our house. “The Sneetches and Other Stories” and “Horton Hatches the Egg” are two of our current favorites!
