5 Things a Woman Needs to Know about Herself

This post was the winner between 21 ways to have an orgasm and 15 ways to shrink your belly fat. Not that those others aren't important...cause they are. I just see the need for brevity and the fact that my dinner is almost ready. Brief and profound, my favorite.

Elastin

Here I am again with more skin care info for you! Today, I want to talk about Elastin. And no, it's not the stuff that keeps your swimsuit snug on your hips! But it does have a similar property. Elastin has 'snap back' to it, like your swimsuit, or like a rubber band. Elastin keeps the skin tight. Elastin keeps the skin flexible. If there is enough elastin in your skin it will retain and return to it's shape after being pulled or stretched.

Is My Past Hurting My Health?

When I was the ripe old age of 13, I was introduced to the world of peer pressure. Along with that came smoking cigarettes. I thought I was cool, with it, or whatever you want to call it; sadly, I was mistaking. Throughout my teens and even into my twenties (except when I was pregnant), cigarettes remained a vice that I didn't want to give up. That is until I was getting sick all the time with chest infections and sore throats.

Love Language Problem

I woke up this morning with an epiphany about relationships. Well, I guess it wasn't really anything new to me, just a reminder of something that I discovered years ago. I've been having a little trouble finding common ground with one of my children lately. So much so that it's concerning. The answer came to me as I lay there thinking about getting out of bed. "You are not giving her love in the way she receives it," my inner voice chimed.

Why Do I Need Rest?

Here it is 7-something PM, and I am just now posting. Well, I apologize for the delay, but honestly, I'm glad that 1) my Internet modem was down; 2) my laptop needs a new mother board; and 3) my husband took his laptop to work for a Power Point presentation. You see, I got to spend a wonderful day of rest with my Missy Moo (the toddler girl) playing, eating, walking, and slumbering; which brings me to the topic of this post...rest and sleep.

Collagen Replacement: Is It Really Working?

I have some news for you, ladies. The other day a friend showed me a new moisturizer she had just spent a fortune on. She was so happy about it and wanted my opinion....so I looked at the ingredient list. And, I am sorry to say, I had to tell her that this collagen boosting promise the product was claiming was completely false! The product contained nothing that would actually help her skin to regain lost collagen. She had merely purchased an expensive moisturizer with no real anti-aging benefits!

Making Decisions

Today's topic is one with which many have trouble - on a daily basis. It is making decisions and acting upon them. I, for one, am one of those who don't find making some decisions to be pleasant; therefore, I avoid them. When I say this, I don't mean your every day ones like which breakfast cereal to buy or what shoes should I wear today; no, the ones I speak of are much more life-changing and some can even be hazardous or painful.
