What Is My Purpose?

Introspective Sunday:  What Is My Purpose?

Ooh…this is a loaded question and is likely one of the most important ones you will ever ask yourself.  With various shoes to fill, women can become extremely busy meeting the needs of others. And even though we willingly enter into many different ventures, tasks and jobs, are we truly fulfilling our life purposes within the mayhem?  Do you cram your days with the business of life and forget to invest in who you are as a woman – a vital person to this planet?

I could write a book about this subject (maybe I will) and see it as necessary as oxygen for the pursuit of happiness.  However, for the sake of your limited time and my short window of mere minutes before I get pummeled by the Missy Moo (toddler girl) again, I will be brief.  Think about your passions today.  What are you constantly drawn to do that gives you that feeling of accomplishment and joy?  Though this may have nothing to do with your purpose, it’s likely that it can give you a clue – a direction in which to start seeking.

My life has always been filled with family and a large number of creative ventures that kept me busy.  The other thing that always kept coming back to me was helping others with finding direction, healing, or simply understanding that they are valuable.  I have pursued many applications for my skills and interests over the years.  But it really didn’t come together for me until I started this blog – a large part of my overall purpose.  It’s why I persevere low traffic, writer’s block, annoying spam, and the looping question: Is it ever going to be the blog I want it to be?

So, ask yourself today: What is my purpose and what are my passions?  See if you can make some connections.  I’d love to here about your reason for being here.  Be well-be beautiful.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone

  1. Kellie,

I think it’s so important to think about this and to “get in touch” with our passions and who we are meant to be. A book I love on the topic of purpose: The Purpose Driven Life.

Good for you for following your heart. You have a gift for sharing information to help others. And you’re a great writer, too!
