Meet Novelist Breanne Braddy

Women’s Life Link would like to introduce novelist and Beautiful woman, Breanne Braddy. We met on Facebook through a mutual friend…such a common story anymore!  Anyway, WLL is giving her a voice and a little promo for her new book with this candid, personal interview.  Read on to learn more about Breanne!

Be Beautiful-Be Creative-Be Happy!

WLL – Who is Breanne Braddy?

Breanne – Hmmm….that’s a good question. I suppose it depends on who you ask.  Since you asked me, I’d say, Breanne Braddy is that girl who painted her head blue with house paint when she was 13; who loves to write more than anything in the world; who reads horror novels like they’re going out of style; and who loves like there is no tomorrow.

WLL – What is your present life focus (personal and business)?

Breanne – My writing career (under the pen name J.S. Chancellor). With my debut novel releasing in a month, it’s been serious business around my household to concentrate on promotion and getting the word out.  Personally, I’m focused on figuring out where I want to be in five years. I mean this literally! My husband is a police officer in our home town and we’re at a point in our lives where we are looking down the road and facing some large decisions: Children, possible relocation, career….there’s a whole lot to consider in the coming years.

WLL – How do you stay motivated to reach your goals?

Breanne – That’s a pretty easy one to answer: I stay motivated because I write full time and have literally given up gainful employment in order to have a serious chance of accomplishing my goals. I traded security for freedom and every time I do the checkbook, I’m reminded of this.  Sometimes you’ve just gotta take a leap of faith.

WLL – Who and what inspires you?

Breanne – Other women who are living out their dreams inspire me. Those who have stepped beyond their comfort zones in search of something larger than themselves. I have a dear friend who owns her own business and I’m always struck by how much spunk and tenacity she has, how fulfilling her life is, and yet how brave a move it was to step out in faith that she could do what she set her heart on.

WLL – What is your secret to staying healthy and young-looking?

Breanne – Well, asking that implies that I appear to be healthy and young-looking, so thank you! I’d love to tell you that exercise everyday and eat right…but I don’t do either. I drink way too much coffee and don’t run unless something’s chasing me. So, I suppose the answer to that, is that I don’t let the little things bother me.  Life’s too short for that. If you want chocolate cake, eat it for crying out loud. You’ll only overdo it later to make up for cutting yourself short.

WLL – Tell us one piece of advice you got from your mother that you still practice today.

Breanne – Don’t be afraid to try new things. My mother and I are anxious spirits, naturally, and through the years I’ve watched her grow and push forward and test herself and it encourages me to do the same.

WLL – What do you feel is the greatest roadblock to any woman’s success at fulfilling dreams?

Breanne – Fear. Pure and simple.

WLL – Tell us three current goals you have.

Breanne – To live in the mountains before I turn forty.  To see actual yearly income from being an author.  To overcome my fear of flying (I don’t have a choice here…I have signings to get to, lol).

WLL – If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Breanne – Ireland…and since we’re dreaming, I’d stay there and never move back to the states.

WLL – Do you have any regrets?

Breanne – That I didn’t take a hold of my dreams sooner. I waited till I was 25 to pursue my heart’s desire and if I could go back, I’d run toward that goal from the moment they opened the gates.

About Kellie R. Stone

"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone

It gives me very great pleasure, to say nothing of pride, to introduce a woman who is all the above and more and also my friend of some years’ standing. Please meet aged care worker, Monica Perrett, mum to six and grandmum to one. A real battler. Monica says, she has always supported the underdog and fights for what she believes is right. And, believe me, I have watched her, albeit from afar, and she is all that she says she is.

  1. Fantastic review! Thanks for sharing this!

  2. Your young – Go for your dreams – & don’t look back or doubt yourself – it will work out!

  3. There is a quote that I posted a few days ago and this interview makes me think of that quote because it’s very a propos. As the quote says, “Only those who are willing to go too far can possibly know how far is far enough” That sort of goes hand in hand with the tenet that fear is the biggest roadblock to womens’ success and both Breanne and this quote are both saying, You have to conquer your own fear when it comes to reaching out for a goal.

And speaking as another Facebook friend, I feel pritty confident that Breanne’s career is secure and she is on the road to fulfilling her dreams. But still I want to wish her the very best along the way.

  4. Go for it, girl!!!!!!!!
