Rebel Mind Control

Women are creatures of habit. We tend to get stuck on autopilot much of the time. The positioning gets comfortable and our thoughts are familiar. It seems to work well enough there that we put down roots like a mighty oak. Unfortunately, that camp usually is due to fear, negative thoughts, feelings of inadequacy, and ignoring the sense that there is more to life. Well, guess what? The problem isn't that we comfortably rest under the shade of a tree, it is when we decide to stay there with the excuses, fears, and debilitating thoughts.

The Stowaway

Ah, yes, the stowaway...to whom or what are you referring, Kellie? Well, I thought it was about time to talk about the big pink elephant in the room...the MS (Multiple Sclerosis). Many people have asked me what it is like, while others politely avoid the conversation altogether in fear of offending or making me feel bad...yes, I know they do that. So, I want to enlighten you all about what it's like for me to carry a stowaway around all day long.

You Are A Creator!

Many people choose a word to meditate on instead of a new year's resolution. Yes, I got on the band wagon, except I could not choose just one! I am all over the place! I thought I needed one word and then a different one came to mind. I kept thinking of really positive words! So here I am owning three words for the year 2015. Do you have a word to use in your life? Here are mine: Balance - Awareness - Transformation

Your Weekly Dose of Diva: The First Step After Everything Falls Apart…

Here on the wet coast, it's, well, it is very wet. As I look out my window I see a whole lot of mud and three rather soggy horses. The west coast is not particularly perfect country for horses, whose roots are in high, arid, dry places. But, these mares, despite their somewhat low spirits and muddy legs, seem to keep on keeping on just fine. In fact, that's a bit of what I wanted to touch on this week. For many, these last few weeks have been a roller coaster...and I started to get really curious about what the first powerful step is when it comes to things falling apart.

Are You Potential Or Price Focused?

In this material world of ours, it's not hard to get "price" focused. "How much is it going to cost me?" and "I can't pay that much." frequently roll off our tongues like deep set affirmations. Well, actually, these and other words and thoughts can become infused into our minds as the normal way of walking through life. I'm not just talking about money and financial things either. There is a price for everything we do or experience in life. But there is also a potential or a payoff. Which one are you focused on?

I'm thinking it's definitely time to do something about that. The Mirror Project

Well, I wrote this wanting to inspire but, at the same time, I was not feeling very inspired because I had been looking at the news. Another teen killed by someone who did not wish to accept the fact that he was different than him. Another parent asking if they should step down from ministry because their daughter just came out of the closet. Another person judging me. Another person judging you. I JUDGE ME. I don't need others doing it. So this became a look in the mirror moment. We all have things we do not like about ourselves. What do you do about it? Do you go out and judge the next person? Or fix what you do not like about yourself?

Fit Life-Changing Habits And Rituals Into Your Busy Lifestyle

Rituals are something we all do, without even thinking. For example, we all have a morning ritual. I wake up, get out of bed, go straight to my bathroom, make a pee-pee, wash my hands and brush my teeth. Then I go into my office and turn on my Himalayan Salt Lamp and read my emails. Mike brings me up my morning coffee (ruled by Saturn = work) and after I’ve worked for about 1 hour, I get up, put on my workout clothes, make my altar devotions and go work out. Then I shower and get dressed for the day (purification by water). Simply put: A ritual is a series of steps that you follow. A habit is something you do over and over without consciously thinking about and therefore is hard to stop. Most of us lead very busy lives, it’s the way things are these days… so adding in a new ritual or habit can seem hard to do.
