Your Present Moment

The beginning of this year, for me, brought both a wedding anniversary and the unexpected death of one of my beloved cats, little True Heart. I share this because out of both comes a plan for the new year on so many levels. As I experienced the shock and grief, in a conversation with my angels and guides, I was shown that my options were to stay in the pain and allow it to wash over and through me. I could allow it to become a dominant force defining my 2014, or I could honor the loss and pain by choosing different thoughts and paths created by the loss.

Giving Thanks

This is going to be a short note tonight but it is from the heart. It Is almost Thanksgiving and time for each of us to spend some time in gratitude – for all of our blessings, yes, because we have them even when we forget them. I ask ya’ll also though, to give thanks for the lessons, the heartaches, the pain and frustration as well because each effort to us, of us, for us and because of us is a thumbprint in the universe, unique to us and those in our lives and who cross our paths. Every moment we spend, alone or together has meaning and consequence.

Intention Deficit

A perfect introduction to my topic today is my introduction – I was listening to Dr. Oz, I think, and one of his guests made a comment, I think, which definitely got my attention and I made a note somewhere to remember it in order to write about it later. What a mouthful yet it illustrates my point perfectly – the idea was a play on words and the idea of ‘attention deficit disorder’ – the guest talked about having today in our world, ‘intention deficit disorders’.

Completing Purpose

It is November now, the year nearly gone – I am looking at all those pieces that LIE INCOMPLETE – there are a few. I set a new goal this month, as I do when guilt sets in and I say no more procrastination, stay on track, etc.. Six A.M. arrives and I cannot sleep, so I actually get up and move onto one of those events and complete it – feeling very good about myself and wondering how long I can keep it up. As I seek to complete another task (this article) my newest baby kitten, who is still nameless, is also desperately seeking my attention by helping type and pushing things off my desk.

Our Stories

Many of the thought leaders today talk about the story(s) we tell ourselves to get along, to survive, to feel better. As a writer, this resonates because I have always told stories and written scripts. I would like to invite you today to consider looking at the idea of what stories you tell yourself and why/what role these stories occupy in your life. Do they complement or contaminate your life – given the path you are on spiritually, is it possible that these stories are no longer necessary?

From Struggle To Insight

It is interesting how life events can give us the option to develop new perspectives which can then impact us on all levels. This happened to me on Thursday when I received a call from my dad about some family issues. After fretting over it, losing the day from fretting, I realized that this was an opportunity from the Universe, an invitation to review my feelings about the subject, previous work I had done on it and thought I had completed, and perhaps make a more conscious shift to position me better into the future.

Representing Yourself

In my journey with words and language, I have recently stumbled upon another concept – that of Representation. I have been hearing friends use the phrase “I must stand up for myself”, have even used it myself occasionally. I have noticed in recent days that it rang off for me, something was amiss. Then it occurred to me, when we use that phrase, it speaks of victimhood on some level – somewhere in our lives we have given away the ability to speak on our own behalf.

The Not Place

There is a place I have come upon recently, a land unlike any others I have visited either in Spirit or in the natural world. I have named it the Not Place, for it simply is not anything. It is a place of Being in between the space of Creation and Manifestation, just to the left of Limiting Beliefs.

Intersections

As we attempt to raise our vibrational frequency, pursue our purpose, and live in Spirit, we so often come up against dualities. We are told to follow our path, release the negative and limiting aspects of our being, be in the space of those who are of equal or higher vibration. So what happens when we are faced with negativity, people not on purpose, conditions and situations that oppose the direction which we are pursuing?

Can’t Consciousness

Today, I extend another invitation to you and to your spirit. It is about taking a journey into your mind and being introduced to the great power that resides within. The invitation is for you and your spirit separately because I would like you to pay attention to the separateness and to begin to acknowledge how often we do act in separation. Ultimately, our goals are to live in this world united in all aspects of our being – when we do that, we have an immediate sense of wholeness, of creation and an understanding of our full power.

From Nowhere To Now Here

It is so interesting how words wrap themselves into meanings simply by the way that they are spelled. Coming as we all do from our own unique inside spaces, how does it feel when you think to yourself of being ‘nowhere’? Does it denote a positive memory or experience or is it more an experience of lack and limitation? Does the concept of ‘nowhere’ evoke a sense of nothingness, blankness in the spirit?

Days Of Self Value

We, as women, are the holders of the space for most of the loving-ness in our lives – we teach it, give it, share it - yet we so often forget to give to ourselves. Our focus is so often others-oriented that we get behind and lost in the self-care and nurturing department. We then wonder and worry why no one stops to think about what we might require and find ourselves wishing that our loved ones would just take the time to stop and focus on us.
