Sexual Health: A Woman’s Right

Recently, I posted a couple of articles on women's sexual health - not a complete series by any means. So, I thought it a good idea to throw a couple more points out there on the subject. It doesn't get much more girlie than talking about vaginas. The following article is a guest post by Vanessa Scott, a former vaginal surgery consultant who knows her stuff. We'll just call her the Vagina Expert, for now.

Is My Past Hurting My Health?

When I was the ripe old age of 13, I was introduced to the world of peer pressure. Along with that came smoking cigarettes. I thought I was cool, with it, or whatever you want to call it; sadly, I was mistaking. Throughout my teens and even into my twenties (except when I was pregnant), cigarettes remained a vice that I didn't want to give up. That is until I was getting sick all the time with chest infections and sore throats.

Why Do I Need Rest?

Here it is 7-something PM, and I am just now posting. Well, I apologize for the delay, but honestly, I'm glad that 1) my Internet modem was down; 2) my laptop needs a new mother board; and 3) my husband took his laptop to work for a Power Point presentation. You see, I got to spend a wonderful day of rest with my Missy Moo (the toddler girl) playing, eating, walking, and slumbering; which brings me to the topic of this post...rest and sleep.

How Healthy Am I…Really?

This week has been one of self-evaluation for me. I attended two health/anti-aging seminars that absolutely shattered my delusional mind-set that I was actually healthy. It's like the denial that comes when you know that you've gained weight but think if you don't get on the scale it won't be true. Well, I was doing that with my state of health.
