"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone

Fortunate Friday: My Author Panel

You know what? I'm the luckiest blogger in the world to have so many beautiful, talented, and professional women contribute to this web site. I realize that most blogs function with one person at the keyboard; however, I wanted to do things a little differently. Although I'd love to think that "I'm all that", frequent reality checks reveal that's not the case.

What is Skin Brushing?

I was first introduced to dry skin brushing years ago by a friend and have utilized the technique ever since. The first thing you should know is it has nothing to do with the hair on your body (unless your man looks like an ape and needs that type of grooming). Dry skin brushing is an easy, inexpensive way to invigorate your health.

Deja Vu

Landing in Philadelphia for Journey trip #33, I hopped into my car and set Betty (my GPS) to navigate me to Scranton. On the phone with my sister-in-law, I realized I’d been there before. You know that crazy Dèjá Vu feeling that washes over you? And then it hit me.

What is BRCA Testing?

Have any of you seen the TV ads for the BRCA testing? I had read about it in a women's magazine some time ago but just recently saw a commercial. I was really surprised that the testing company, Myiad, has been running the campaign for two years now considering it was the first one I'd ever seen.

What is Introspection?

Considering all that you can learn about yourself, the act of "looking within" should become second nature. I find it exciting, difficult, and even scary (sounds like a good thriller) to approach the part of your mind and emotions that often get the brunt of your choices.

90 Day Health Challenge: Week 5

In the overall picture of my health challenge, this week wasn't so bad; in terms of the short seven day period, it sucked. It was one laced with a horrible head cold and that same old PMS thing that kept me bloated and grumpy last month. The cold at least kept me popping my extra vitamin C, D, B, and drinking a deluge of liquids. I was reminded of how dry my throat was about every 15 minutes during the night from the inability to breathe through my nose.

Fortunate Friday: Constructive Criticism

A part of coaching a woman to achieve true life fulfillment and happiness is to help her see where she is and where she wants to go. I've had to do a lot of self-coaching over the years just to stay sane and moving forward. And, to tell you the truth, I still have many areas in my life that need work. We all do.

Insurance Companies and Alternative Medicine

Because I have suffered from chronic migraine for about eight years now, treatment options (that I would consider) are getting slimmer by the minute in mainstream medicine. This fact is one of the reasons why I am so interested and knowledgeable about alternative therapies and the use of natural remedies. A girl has to do - what girl has to do...when there is pain involved, that is.

Instant Health Boosters: Writing and Journaling

I can't tell you how many women I've known who have said, "I hate writing; I just don't know what to say." And though some of them may have been grammatically-challenged, I always encouraged them to give it a try. Writing for creative expression or simply to journal your ideas is not about being perfect or eloquant; it's about YOU and what's inside of YOU.

Facing Fears

Have you ever been in a place that just felt creepy; did you get goose bumps and swear that someone was watching you? Sometimes those feelings might have a valid source or they might just be your imagination. It's in this same way that we can concoct the most terrifying scenes in our minds concerning other life situations - again, our imagination. Fear actually brings in a serious influx of creativity - the scary kind.

90 Day Health Challenge: Week 4

I'd love to say that this challenge has been easy for me. But I'd be lying. So, when women say that fitness, eating right, and doing all those other healthy things take a back seat to caring for their babies/toddlers, just believe them.
