"I make no excuses for my diverse roles as a Rock Your Feminine Type Coach™ and Branding Expert, best-selling author, and crime thriller novelist. Yes, I do still chuckle a bit at the irony. I kick ass as a women’s biz coach by day and kill off vulnerable fiction characters at night. What the hell, it makes for some interesting dreams. I believe that everyone should pursue their passions no matter how out there they seem to be. One of those pure heart-fluttering passions for me has always been writing. Since I did, indeed, chase my dream of being a writer, I've published two non-fiction books in the self-development genre, co-authored an international best seller, and now I'm finally pushing my much-too-old-to-be-in-the-nest novel out the door and into the world. My whole world is empowering and I adore showing others how to live life unfiltered, whether I do that through the written word or my coaching work. I love my job!" ~Kellie R. Stone

Are You Lost In Woo Woo Land?

This is going to be a really touchy subject here. I don't want to make enemies, but I do want to make a strong point. I know what it means to get lost in "Woo Woo" land. I've been there, and I've been stuck there. The problem is that, while you are there, you don't see how far away from living in the physical world you've come. Let me clarify what I'm talking about.

You Can Eat Healthy On A Budget!

As a women's personal and business development coach, I have heard lots and lots of reasons (aka, excuses) why some things can't be done, why they are, somehow, restricted from the same opportunities to be healthy, wealthy, and wise as the rest of the well-to-doers out there. Well, I'm sort of done with listening to all of that bullshit. I will no longer enable anyone in my life to complain about how terrible their lives are and thrust precarious excuses as to why they can't change things. The fact is, you can eat healthy on a budget!

Are You Potential Or Price Focused?

In this material world of ours, it's not hard to get "price" focused. "How much is it going to cost me?" and "I can't pay that much." frequently roll off our tongues like deep set affirmations. Well, actually, these and other words and thoughts can become infused into our minds as the normal way of walking through life. I'm not just talking about money and financial things either. There is a price for everything we do or experience in life. But there is also a potential or a payoff. Which one are you focused on?

Focus On It To Fix It!

Three months into my 48th year on this planet, I realized (no, accepted) that I'm not exactly in the health and physical condition I'd like to be. I'm thinking it's definitely time to do something about that. After researching and contemplating many diets and fitness programs, I chose The 21 Day Fix and my Beach Body Coach, Kayla Skaggs, to help me win back my strength and fine tune my eating plan.

Just A Speed Bump…

Wow, I feel like it's been forever since I sat down to write a post! The out-of-state move has been a challenging time to say the least. But I'm back! Though I still have boxes to unpack and curtains to hang, I'm looking past the physical stuff for a bit to stare into my emotional self. Change is hard. And it can even feel like your whole world is imploding on you. I've run the wheel of emotions for the past few months, as we anticipated this move and the shift we would experience. And, yes, it's felt like one huge whirlwind at times! But, really, it's just a speed bump on the journey!

It’s Bananas!

Do you ever wonder why we continue to do things the same old way just because it's the way we were taught or it's the accepted way? I'm finding that I'm questioning everything I ever learned and wondering if there is better and more efficient ways to accomplish my goals. I'm pretty sure that there is, and I'm determined to find each and every one of them. As a part of my own self-development, I've realized that it's my responsibility to find the most serving ways to live, grow, and effect change for myself and the world around me.

Just The Way You Are

It was two-thirty in the morning when she sent me the message. I could feel her stress and fear even though it was a digital communication. “I am tired of living a lie, a double life…I am gay,” she confessed. Her declaration did not move me, but her sadness and fear did. I felt sorry that she had not been able to truly be herself in this world without experiencing hate and ridicule from others. Individuality is at the core of our existence and the pursuit of it a path no other should ever block.

Even When Shit And Shadows Get Scary, I’m Still In!

You know that feeling you get when you're watching a scary movie and the heroin is snooping in a really creepy, dark place? Well, I always say to myself or out loud, "What the hell are you doing? Why are you even going down there? Are you insane? Admit it, you've done it, too! Then I realize that there wouldn't be a story or movie unless someone does something dramatic or to risk bodily harm.

The Butterfly Deserves To Fly…

I wrote the statement "The Butterfly deserves to fly" up on my white board this morning. It was meant to be an encouragement to me to get some work done on my upcoming book, The Butterfly Payoff, and it served its purpose. As I stared up at the words, though, I realized the implied message to myself revealed a much deeper cause- one that is for us all.

Be Your Best Supporter!

Do you know who your best supporter is? Is it a friend, a lover, a family member? I have discovered that, while it is beneficial and awesome to have friends and family who cheer us on, we need to have a healthful outlook toward ourselves and our lives as well. No matter what others say we can do and accomplish, until we believe in ourselves and our potential, we won't get too far. Other people can encourage us until they are blue in the face, but not reinforcing that encouragement with personal belief in the accolades or words of faith presented causes it to fall short of the positive intention.

5 Life Lessons From Dr. Seuss Books

March marked the 110th anniversary of the birth of Theodore Seuss Geisel. He was most famously known for his work in children’s literature, both writing and illustrating. We all remember many of these stories from our childhoods. From The Cat in the Hat to Marvin K Mooney, Dr. Seuss created characters that we have loved for over 6 decades.
